Deployment of Smart Energies

Descripción:

The objective is twofold: to present and discuss the recent adopted Commission’s Communication on policy and regulatory actions in support of the deployment of Smart Grids in Europe and to provide participants with an overview on the lessons learned from European projects and Industrial Initiatives for Electricity Grids and Smart Cities.

The event will provide relevant information and facilitate discussions on:

Commission's communication on Smart Grids, which set up the policy and indicates possible regulatory directions that could give boost to the Smart Grid development and ensure at the same time a fair balance between different stakeholders’ expectations. The Communication also reflects on the conclusions of the Task Force for Smart Grid, set up by the Commission in November 2009
Lessons learned from projects and related running actions under the SET Plan: the Industrial Initiatives for Electricity Gris and Smart Cities
Policy drivers and current actions to highlight and improve the potential of ICT’s solutions for the energy sector.

More than 400 participants are expected, including national regulatory authorities, consumer associations, electricity grid operators, energy and ICT private companies, European and national trade associations, non-governmental organisations, European institutions, participants of ongoing EU projects and interested into the industrial initiatives.
